Get ready for the Ithaca Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning!

Good day, runners! Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away, so it’s time to start thinking about the return of the Ithaca Turkey Trot prediction run, with pies from Purity Ice Cream to the five closest predictions!

Turkey Trotters 2012

What better way to start Thanksgiving Day than to run/jog/walk/crawl 5.5 miles (or any distance you desire—the challenge is to predict how long you’ll be out) and then enjoy baked goods donated by Ithaca Bakery, apples courtesy of Cornell Orchards, apple cider provided by FLRC, and the possibility of winning a pie from Purity Ice Cream to decorate your Thanksgiving dinner table. Bring your friends and family!

We will once again be collecting money for Loaves & Fishes so they can help feed the less fortunate in our community. Please remember to stash some cash in your running gear. Suggested donation $10.

No pre-registration is necessary—you’ll fill out your prediction when you arrive. Please show up at the Ithaca High School cafeteria between 8:00–8:30 AM for the 9:00 AM start, and wear a mask whenever you’re inside the cafeteria. Since only 50 people will be allowed in the cafeteria at any one time, be prepared to spend time outside.

What is your prediction?

Gobble gobble!

Bruce Roebal, Director
Ithaca Turkey Trot

I’ll do the leave clearing in woods, the bridge just past guardrail, and crossing guard at Lake street and Remington. Gobble, globble. Tom
