PGXC Series Canceled for 2020

Unsurprisingly, Mike Nier and Colleen Newman, the race directors of the Pete Glavin Cross Country Series, have announced that, in conjunction with the host clubs, they are canceling the 2020 PGXC season.

Between state and local regulations, concerns of the individual clubs that hosted the races, and health concerns surrounding events that would bring hundreds of runners together from across the state, holding the series just wasn’t feasible.

As Mike and Colleen said, “When restrictions are lifted, venues become available, and it is safe to do so, we will race again.”

And when that happens, the High Noon men and FLRC women will be on the starting line, just like at last year’s Taughannock race, shown below.
