Good day, runners! We’re pleased to announce that registration is open for Super Frosty Loomis, FLRC’s annual 5K and 10K snowshoe race at Hammond Hill on Saturday, February 12th (with a no-snow makeup date of February 19th).
If you don’t have snowshoes, we have 20 pairs available to rent for $5, and we may have a few additional pairs available for borrowing. The race is limited to 40 runners and there will be a waitlist.
A port-o-john will be available at the parking lot, but there is no running water or changing facilities. Unless it’s insanely cold and windy, we won’t be using the warming hut—plan to change and/or keep warm in your car.
We hope to bring back the post-race celebration at the Dryden Hotel at noon, pending the COVID situation. We will announce this closer to race day. If we cannot hold the post-race gathering indoors, we’ll give out awards near the finish line immediately following the race.
