Hi Everyone. I was just wondering if there was news on if there would be any Indoor Track Meets at Cornell this January/February. I am starting a Running Club for Middle Schoolers at Chenango Forks and would really love to get them in some Indoor races. Does anyone know if this will be allowed this year?
Alas, we don’t know yet. Cornell is overwhelmed with more pressing concerns, and our contacts there simply haven’t gotten any information from their higher-ups about whether or not outside groups will be allowed in Barton Hall.
We’re also trying to talk with Ithaca College about using the indoor track at Glazer Arena, but haven’t heard back if that will be possible (or financially feasible).
I’ll post more when we know more.
Frankly, I wouldn’t make any plans assuming you’d be able to get into either Barton or Glazer. Sorry!
Is SUNY Cortland an option?
Alas, SUNY Cortland has never been welcoming to outside groups in the past, so we haven’t checked back with them.
