The 51st anniversary of the Finger Lakes Runners Club’s Turkey Trot was a wonderful success. A record $7,368 was raised for Loaves & Fishes, and there were also changes in the attendee size (547 registrants, 380 finishers), weather (38º and raining), and location (outside IHS, under tents). We have a few fantastic photos from the Turkey Trot, and if you took any, please add them to that album!

This year was the 51st anniversary of the Turkey Trot and marked Steph Bailey’s debut directing this staple of Ithaca’s race schedule. This was also the first year participants registered online, facilitating the first-ever online results for Ithaca’s Turkey Trot.
Thanks to all our volunteers! Although there were too many to list everyone who helped out, the race wouldn’t have been possible without Heather Cobb, Rebecca Lambert, and Tonya Engst facilitating bib pickup and day-of-race registration; Jamie Slater and her volunteers for handing out pre-ordered sweatshirts and selling during the event; and the FLRC Timing Team of Bob Talda, Adam Engst, Jesse Koennecke, and Rich Bernstein performing near perfectly in some of the most difficult conditions we’ve ever experienced on the largest race we’ve ever timed.
