Yesterday, (at least) seven FLRC runners (and several more alumni) ran the Boston Marathon under excellent conditions. A frosty morning made way to excellent marathoning conditions with full sun and temperatures in the mid 40s at the start; clouds filled in as temperatures rose into the 50s as the race progressed, with a gentle tailwind pushing runners along the entire way. First to the finish was the elite field with John Korir (2:01:52) setting a course record and Zouhair Talbi (2:03:45, 5th) and Jessica McClain (2:20:49, 5th) setting American course records.
Our men’s open team of Christopher Petroff (2:32:47), Jared Freedman (2:43:36), Lucas Betzoldt (2:45:52), and Seth Bywater (2:48:20) placed 18th in the team competition with the top three runners counting toward the team time (8:02:15).
Other FLRC runners toeing the starting line included Peng Chen (3:14:33), Sarah Woodyear (3:16:12), and Nora Mciver-Sheridan (3:24:59). (Apologies if I missed anyone.)
