The 2026 Tortoise & Hare Trail Race took place at Buttermilk Falls State Park in Ithaca on Sunday, June 28. 116 runners completed the 10K+ course, with participants ranging in age from 14 to 75 and coming from as far away as Costa Rica! Plus, about 9 kids and parents finished the 1-mile fun run.
Full race results and photos are now available, and you can add your photos from the day to our community photo album. Trail Circuit standings are also updated.
It was a fight to the finish with our overall winner Nicholas Klein outkicking Riley White by less than a second in 50:05, and Nora McIver-Sheridan was first in the women’s division in 53:56. Additional age-group winners included Madelyn Ellison, Kelly Fish, Meaghan Keenan, Denise Calcagnino, Leah Bacher, Riley White, John Troyer, Jamal Diboun, Scottie Jacobs, Boris Dzikovski, and Rick Mazzeo. Age-group winners enjoyed mini pies from Dolce Delight, with the overall winners also receiving a Finger Lakes Running Company gift card.
