If anyone is looking for a low key 5k this spring, there is a new race being put on by the Mecklenburg community. I believe this is the first time this race is being put on? They are raising money to put trails and a new playground in their community park. My husband grew up in Mecklenburg and my kiddos have always gone to the Meck pond with their grandparents to play! Is the course roads or trails? Is it on the grounds of the community park?

Update! It is a road course! They are still working out the details of the finish but it will essentially start at the Fire house go South on county Route six, then, right onto Kelsey, right onto Schuyler right onto 228 headed north and then back around two county Route six.
