Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 10, the same day as FLRC’s 2026 Women’s Distance Festival 5K, a race that celebrates women’s running. Held in memory of race cofounder Diane Sherrer, the event brings together women and girls of all ages to run, jog, or walk together on the scenic Dryden Rail Trail. Please note that registration closes two hours before the race; there is no “day-of” registration for this event. Also, word on the street says that we will have an open bathroom! (Friends and family who aren’t running are welcome to come hang out and cheer.)
