Add the Parallel of Latitude 8-Hour Race & Relay to your fall race schedule!

After a hot and dry few months, the weather has started to cool down, summer vacations are over, and kids are going back to school. Now’s a great time to sign up for your fall races, so be sure to add the Parallel of Latitude 8-Hour Race and Relay to your schedule!

Join us on Saturday, September 27, 2025 for an 8-hour adventure along the scenic Jim Schug Trail starting at Dryden Lake Park. This event features a flat 3.45-mile out-and-back loop where you’ll complete as many loops as you can (or want!) between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Expect a fully stocked aid station, a fun, flexible, and social atmosphere, and the best music to amp you up for your next loop. There are no pace limits or cutoffs, and all abilities are welcome. Not sure you want to be out on the course for the whole 8 hours? Not a problem! Set a time, mileage, or fun goal instead and cheer on everyone else for the rest of the day.

We’ve added several new features in 2025 to elevate the experience for all participants. One of the most exciting is the relay division, where participants can register in teams of 2 to 6 and take on the 8-hour challenge together. Teams can divide up the distance however they choose, making it a perfect way for folks to enjoy the race in an even more relaxed way.

Check out the website for more info on the other new features: mini parallels of latitude and lifetime mileage recognition.

Registration is in advance only—no race-day sign-ups. Solo entry is $50 through Wednesday, September 17, or $80 until registration closes. Relay team members pay $35 each (early), or $65 each closer to race day. Registration for both divisions closes at noon on Friday, September 26.

All solo finishers receive a custom concrete finisher stone while relay teams receive matching stones. Overall awards will be given in each gender category and to the top relay team for overall mileage. All stones will have the final mileage added to make it entirely unique to you or your team.

Looking forward to seeing you in September!

P.S. Want to be part of the action but with less sweat? We have plenty of volunteer opportunities that are vital to the success of race day! Volunteer shifts vary in length and include managing parking, aid station support, runner check-in, mileage tracking, and general logistics. Volunteers will receive a free FLRC volunteer tee-shirt, snacks/lunch, a Parallel of Latitude decal, and lots of laughter and fun. You can sign up directly via Helper Helper or email cobb.heather.m@gmail.com to learn more.
