First call for FLRC's August 17th track meet (and last call for Forge the Gorgeous on Thursday)

Our second (and final) track meet of the year at Lansing High School is coming up on August 17th. To thank the community for its patience with our canceled meets in 2020 and 2021, we’re waiving all fees for our summer meets this year. Sign up today! (Pre-registration is required.)

Events include the 100m, 400m, 800m, and 1 mile. There will be no relays this year. All ages (little kids!) and abilities (really!) are welcome in these low-key meets. When you’re not running, you can enjoy watching some of the area’s best runners compete against one another. A few select images from last month are below, and you can view the full set of @gplwoo’s photos.

If you’d like to volunteer at the meet, please fill out the FLRC Volunteer Signup form and make sure to select the checkbox for Summer Track Series along with any others. Volunteers make the world go round, and we always have fun putting on meets for all the kids and families.

Thanks, and we’re looking forward to seeing you on the track next week!

PS: If you’re looking for a trail race fix before then, registration for Thursday’s Forge the Gorgeous in Fillmore Glen State Park remains open until 6 PM tonight! It may be a little damp tomorrow, but @Lorrie_Tily and @irvassoc always put on a great race.
