First call—track is back! See you in Lansing on July 20th

With my track director hat on, I’m super pleased to be able to announce that FLRC is restarting its outdoor track season on July 20th at Lansing High School. Lansing couldn’t give us the track in June, but we have it for July and August. To thank the community for its patience with our canceled meets in 2020 and 2021, we’re waiving all fees for these two meets. Sign up today for free!

Events at both meets include the 100m, 400m, 800m, and 1 mile. There will be no relays this year. All ages (lots of little kids!) and abilities (really!) are welcome in these low-key meets. When you’re not running, you can enjoy watching some of the area’s best runners compete against one another.

If you’d like to volunteer at the meet, please fill out the FLRC Volunteer Signup form and make sure to select the checkbox for Summer Track Series along with any others. Volunteers make the world go round, and we always have fun putting on meets for all the kids and families.

Thanks, and we’re looking forward to seeing you on the track this summer!

PS: And if you have some time this weekend, we still need more volunteers for the Finger Lakes 50s—fill out the form and contact race director Pete Dady at dady@toast.net.
