Because of the high likelihood of rain and possible severe thunderstorms, we’re moving tonight’s FLRC board meeting to Zoom. You’re still welcome, but if you want to attend, email board-meeting@fingerlakesrunners.org to receive the Zoom connection details via auto-reply (and let me know if you don’t receive it). The link is the same if you’ve requested it before.
Our board meetings revolve around club and committee activity updates, including a report on the club’s financial position and a brief overview of past and upcoming races. This month, we’ll look back at the results from the Forge the Gorge and Monster Marathon, plus look forward to the Ithaca 5&10, Parallel of Latitude, and Danby Down & Dirty. We will also be discussing early results from the FLRC Diversity & Inclusion Survey (please respond, if you haven’t already!), evaluating a mini grant request to the Philanthropy Committee, and talking about the program for the Annual Picnic (please RSVP!)
I open each board meeting with a quick acknowledgment of those who have gone above and beyond in volunteering for the club. This month, I want to acknowledge John Hummel for hosting the Ludlowville Loop group run, Tonya Engst and Dave Kania for organizing the multi-course FLRC Challenge run and pancake breakfast (for 53 people!), Cadence Dubus for leading the Fascia Release workshop, Lauren Milano for repairing the FLRC feather flags, and Steve Vanek and Steve Jesch for directing the Monster Marathon.
