FLRC Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, April 12th at 6:30 PM

The FLRC Board of Directors will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 12th, at 6:30 PM via Zoom. All our meetings are open to the public, so if you’d like to attend, email board-meeting@fingerlakesrunners.org to receive the Zoom connection details via auto-reply.

Our board meetings revolve around club and committee activity updates, including a report on the club’s financial position from the Finance Committee and quick coverage of recent past and near future races from the Race Committee. Other discussion topics this month include inclusivity policies and the possibility of funding some porta-potties on popular running courses.

I open each board meeting with a quick acknowledgment of those who have gone above and beyond in volunteering for the club in the past month. To give credit where credit is due in public, I’d like to thank Skunk Cabbage super volunteers Marte Reps (food ordering, pickup, and management), Tom Hartshorne (course safety), Tonya Engst (registration and volunteer coordination), Alan Lockett (highway department coordination and course marshal training), Gary McCheyne (equipment and setup), Vinny Cappadora (course setup and monitoring), and Joel Cisne (course painting and more) for their efforts in the weeks and days leading up to the race.

Volunteer acknowledgement should also go to Adam Engst, not only for his tremendous efforts at race directing Skunk Cabbage, but also the indoor track meets and Hartshorne Masters Mile earlier in the year.
