The FLRC Board of Directors will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 7, at 6:15 PM via Zoom. Our board meetings revolve around club and committee activity updates, including a report on the club’s financial position and a brief overview of past and upcoming races. We’ll be reviewing the final winter track financials along with Skunk Cabbage, and looking forward to Women’s Distance Festival 5K and the Thom B Trail Runs.
I open each board meeting with a quick acknowledgment of those who have gone above and beyond in volunteering for the club. Special thanks this month to everyone who helped me with Skunk Cabbage, especially assistant race director Tonya Engst for designing the runner check-in experience and wrangling volunteers, food manager Marte Reps for buying and picking up all the food, and equipment manager Gary McCheyne for coordinating all the equipment for Skunk Cabbage plus setting up and breaking down the course. We’re also extremely appreciative of the volunteer efforts of the Varna Fire Department, Bangs Ambulance, and Dryden Ambulance. Plus, thanks to Scott Dawson this month for his Comm Team efforts to promote special club events.
