The FLRC Board of Directors will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, December 11, at 6:15 PM via Zoom. All our meetings are open to the public, so if you’d like to attend, email board-meeting@fingerlakesrunners.org to receive the Zoom connection details via auto-reply (and let me know if you don’t get the auto-reply). Our board meetings revolve around club and committee activity updates, including a report on the club’s financial position and quick coverage of past and upcoming races. This month, our main discussions will revolve around the 2025 budget proposal from the Finance Committee, the current state of the board election vote, and reporting on ongoing efforts. Speaking of which, you can still RSVP for the Winter Trail Fest party on Thursday, December 12 at 5 PM, and if you haven’t voted, please complete the board election and runner survey by December 15!
I open each board meeting with a quick acknowledgment of those who have gone above and beyond in volunteering for the club. This month, I want to recognize the people whose efforts behind the scenes may not always be noticed:
- Heather Cobb for coordinating group runs and being Executive VP
- Charlie Fay for managing our money as Treasurer
- Diana Hackett for directing the Trail Circuit and taking minutes as Secretary
- Kris Haines-Sharp for chairing the Diversity & Inclusion Committee
- Rebecca Lambert for taking over as the lead for the Communication Team
- Becca Lovenheim for chairing the Philanthropy Committee
- Lorrie Tily for coordinating the Joseph P. Reynolds Scholarship awards
