The FLRC Board of Directors will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 14, at 6:15 PM via Zoom. All our meetings are open to the public, so if you’d like to attend, email board-meeting@fingerlakesrunners.org to receive the Zoom connection details via auto-reply (and let me know if you don’t get the auto-reply). The link is the same if you’ve previously requested it.
Our board meetings revolve around club and committee activity updates, including a report on the club’s financial position and a brief overview of past and upcoming races. As this is the first meeting of 2026, we’ll welcome our new board members, Lucia Chen and Dirk Swart, complete some state-required forms, and review board committee and team assignments. We’ll also be reviewing the first two Winter Chills and the January Jicker, and looking forward to the Hartshorne Masters Mile and Super Frosty Loomis snowshoe race.
I open each board meeting with a quick acknowledgment of those who have gone above and beyond in volunteering for the club. This month, I want to acknowledge four people who kept us engaged throughout December, the only month with no FLRC race:
- Stephanie Mulinos for presenting a highly worthwhile workshop on balance for runners, and Amanda Robertson for hosting the workshop at her physical therapy studio
- Amy Sarno for coordinating the Holiday Scavenger Hunt
- Cadence Dubus for teaching a virtual fascia release rolling session.
