The FLRC Board of Directors will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 11, at 6:15 PM via Zoom. Our board meetings revolve around club and committee activity updates, including a report on the club’s financial position and a brief overview of past and upcoming races. We’ll be reviewing the February Flash Dash and the Strides of March track meets, and looking forward to Skunk Cabbage. Other topics include presentations from several outside groups looking to collaborate with FLRC on events.
I open each board meeting with a quick acknowledgment of those who have gone above and beyond in volunteering for the club. Special thanks this month to Ian Golden for coaching the Monday/Wednesday workouts that provided numerous high school and other athletes with an indoor training opportunity, Lizzy Rayle, who has been wrangling the kids at the Tuesday night workouts all year, and Patrick Boyle, who engineered a solution for our electronic starting pistol to automatically start the Time Machine system for track events.
