FLRC Challenge Tech Bugs, Blips, and Quirks

Maybe we need better terminology (open to suggestions!) but this is working as expected: “Courses Run” is “total number of courses run” as opposed to “distinct courses run” – see last year’s result for reference: Most Miles — FLRC Challenge

How about if we change the column header on Most Miles to “Total Runs”? On the Most Courses page, it should stay “Courses Run”.

Hi there, I hate to add another tech issue to the list, but I registered myself and Simon on webscorer this morning, and I’m getting an “unexpected error” when I hit the “I’m in, check again” button on the leaderboard to enter a run. I see a note about that maybe you’re having to add new people manually, so I’m guessing that’s the issue? I wasn’t sure if I messed up by not logging Simon into webscorer with his own account (which he does have from previous years) to register separately instead of me registering both of us together. Maybe that doesn’t matter?

Oh- I just learned Ian’s having the same error and he was already in touch with you about it.

Yes, and it does seem to be a problem to register two people at once, so Simon may be a different issue than Ian. We’ll be in touch as we figure it out. Hang tight—you can just store up runs and enter them once things are all working for your accounts.

I’m having the same issue, I registered a couple days ago but can’t add courses, I get the unexpected error when I click “I’m in, check again”. I only registered myself.

Apologies to anyone experiencing the new “unexpected error” when registering, WebScorer is not making it easy for us this year! I should have a manual (for me) workaround out later today.

Yep, Simon came in with an ID of 0, so will have the same issue as Caitlin.

WebScorer has resolved the issue and Challenge selection should be fully up and running now.

I just tested it and it worked! Thank you @steve-desmond

I think I am having a similar issue as some others.

Unable to post my time to Taughannock Rim and Falls. I get an Invalid entry no matter what I try. Birth date is: 4/24/1966 if that makes a difference.

The add/edit results form now displays a more useful error message, depending on the type of validation failing. If that doesn’t help clear things up, please attach a screenshot to aid in debugging.

This is the error. The run was today around 1 PM and my time was 1:09:24

Just found it: there are some big changes in how the app needs to work with athletes that selected the “hide my times” flag, now that it’s storing all the results in-house, compared to when WebScorer was handling all that.

This should be fixed now!
