High Noon men’s roster for PGXC #3 on 10/20/2024

Good day, @pgxc-high-noon. It’s time for our home PGXC meet at Taughannock Fall State Park, as coordinated by Jesse Koennecke. Given how close it is, we won’t be organizing a carpool, but reply if you need a ride, and we’ll find you one. We’re also still working on a post-race lunch spot.

We could also use a couple more course marshals if you have a friend or family member coming who wants a good spectator spot—sign up in Helper Helper.

As far as the roster goes, here’s what we have so far. I’d really like to have full teams across the board, and the more people you can recruit, the better! Make sure to register in RunSignup and on the High Noon roster sheet.

Remember that I have to build teams in advance of the race, so late signups cause stress, and no-shows cause even more. If you need to change your plans either way, let me know directly via a post here, email to ace@tidbits.com, or text to 607-275-9557.

Open (5 to score, 9 can run)

  • Brian Wegman
  • Christopher Petroff
  • Eliot Benman
  • Mik Kern
  • Patrick Milano
  • Peter Gracey
  • Ryan Allen-Parrot

We have a full team here, but enough of our regulars haven’t filled out the roster sheet that I’m hoping we can field two teams.

Masters (5 to score, 9 can run)

  • Columbia Warren
  • Dave Kania
  • Devan Berry (?)
  • Jay Hubisz
  • Kilian Weinberger
  • Patrick Boyle
  • Tristan Lambert

This is more like it after two races where we had to fill in from other age groups! With Scotie, Peter, Brian, and Jordan still uncommitted, we might be able to field a second team.

Vets (5 to score, 9 can run)

  • Adam Engst
  • Jesse Koennecke
  • Roger Moseley

Ouch. Joey Randall, Steve Jesch, Steve Vanek, Michael Smith, Bill Thibault, are you available? We need two more to score, and I’ll be close to last, so three would be better.

Super Vets (3 to score, 5 can run)

  • Allan Filipowicz
  • Casey Carlstrom (?)

We only need three. Alan Lockett, Bob Talda, Bob Walters, Jamie Loehr—can one of you complete the team?

Ultra Vets (3 to score, 5 can run)

  • Charlie Fay
  • Carl Franck

Charlie and Carl are beating the bushes for another 70-year-old, given that Joel Leff is still out, last we heard. It would be nice to get our Ultra Vets on the scoreboard this year.

Hi Adam,

Just signed up for the Vets!

@stephen-jesch Thanks for beefing up the Vets team. @joeknowssoccer are you healthy enough to run? @Steven_Vanek? @Michael_Smith?

The good news is that Charlie has recruited Jorge Ramirez for Ultra Vets, so we now have an Ultra Vets team for the first time this season.

The bad news associated with that is that we need Super Vets. @alan-lockett @Jamie @bobtalda @Bwalters @joe-nolan, are you available for a 6K on Sunday?

Also, Open guys—I have no information either way from @J_J @sbywater @joshnogaret @kalebsm and @jonlewis. If you can fill in a Y or N, that would be great!

I will not be fast… but if you need me to fill out the roster. I am In.

In theory, we’re set now, thanks to @peng-chen and Ofer Leshed, but we’d still love to see you. No speed needed.

Hello, I can join the men’s masters (I am 53) — I just put a Y in the google sheets spreadsheet, is that enough!? sorry for late notice! Don’t get nervous, I will be coming from something that ends at 10 and hope to be there by 10;30 or 40. Steve V

Sure thing! You’ll be running on the vets team and you’re always welcome!

vets, right, thanks see you all soon!

looks like with Peng and myself taking up the rear our top 5 were in the top 20 for vets?? I assume there will be a score update. So many syracuse runners I can’t imagine we beat them… loveley day and lovely race, everyone!

@Steven_Vanek All the results are at Run4Results — you have to selecte 24 for the year, 3 for the race, and then OA, AG, or TM for overall, age-group, and team results.

I’m working on the photos and recap now—soon!
