Dear Finger Lakes Runners Club,
We are thrilled to announce the return of the Ithaca Tompkins International Airports Runway 5K, and we would be honored to have the Finger Lakes Runners Club participate in this exciting event!
After a two-year hiatus, the Runway 5K is making a grand comeback on Sunday, September 17th. The course is set to loop around the airport’s runway and taxiway, offering a flat and fast route that promises an exhilarating experience for all participants. This year, we have a limited capacity of 515 runners to ensure everyone enjoys a safe and enjoyable run.
We encourage you to take advantage of our pre-registration option, which comes with a complimentary T-shirt if completed before midnight on Friday, August 11th. Please note that registrations made after this date cannot guarantee a T-shirt.

Location: Ithaca Tompkins International Airport
Course: Loop the Runway and Taxiway, flat and fast
Awards: The first male and female overall finishers will receive a $250.00 travel voucher (rebate with proof of travel) towards airfare from Ithaca Tompkins International Airport.
Age Groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, & 70+
Cause: All proceeds will go towards a scholarship fund to support aspiring pilots attending flight training school, aiming to address the nation’s critical pilot shortage. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for this meaningful cause.
