Registration for FLRC’s first-ever Parallel of Latitude 8-Hour Endurance Race on Saturday, September 28 is still open, but only until noon on Friday. This fixed-time event has no cutoffs and no mileage limits, which means there is no minimum pace required, allowing participants of any speed to join in the fun!
This inaugural event will take place at Dryden Lake Park near Dryden, NY, giving you from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM to complete as many miles as you can (or want) on a flat 3.45-mile out-and-back, unpaved rail trail course.
Each participant will receive a custom award with their completed mileage added and a 5-inch Parallel of Latitude decal. The person who completes the most miles in each gender category gets some extra bling.
Want to participate but in a different way? There are still volunteer slots open during all parts of the race, and some spots allow crew or family members to volunteer and still help their runners when they finish a loop (see the opportunity details in Helper Helper). All volunteers will receive an FLRC volunteer t-shirt, a 5-inch Parallel of Latitude decal, and lunch.
