Last Chance to Sign Up for Super Frosty Loomis – Race is ON!

This is it—your final chance to sign up for this weekend’s Super Frosty Loomis Snowshoe Race at Hammond Hill on Saturday, February 8! We still have a few spots left, and conditions are looking great for a fantastic race. If you’ve been on the fence, now’s the time to jump in!

A few key details:

  • The race has limited space, and spots are filling up fast. If you want in, don’t wait!
  • Snowshoes available: If you don’t have your own, we still have rentals for $10—reserve yours when you sign up.
  • Getting there: The run will start in the public parking lot. The lot’s address is (roughly) 100 Hammond Hill Road, Freeville, NY 13068. Make sure to approach from Irish Settlement Road—no other roads to Hammond Hill are passable.
  • Consider carpooling: Parking at Hammond Hill is tight, and snow makes it even tighter. Help us fit everyone in by arranging to share a ride.
  • Race-day amenities: A port-o-john will be available, and we plan to have the small warming hut open.

We’re also still looking for a few more volunteers to help make the race run smoothly. If you’re available, please sign up on Helper Helper—we’d greatly appreciate the support!

Sign up now, get your gear ready, and we’ll see you at Hammond Hill this Saturday for a snowy adventure! :snowflake::man_running::running_woman:

Your race directors, fresh from marking the course Wednesday night.

If you enjoy Loomis, you’ll probably love night snowshoeing by headlamp—ask us about joining the informal group.

And thank you for managing a big carpool with a van, Joe. That made a big difference for letting more people enter the race.
