Lime Hollow Challenge Course Trail Closure/Re-route

Due to early deer hunting this season there has been a slight modification made to the Lime Hollow Challenge course. The Jack’s Way trail is closed to the public for a deer bait and shoot program - please heed the trail closed signs and don’t cross the flagging tape. But there is an easy fix that keeps the course the same distance…

  1. Start/Finish where the Trail for All starts at the parking lot (rather than at the kiosk down the trail a bit).
  2. Instead of taking a right onto Jack’s Way (about 3/4 mile in) go straight and then take a right at the next trail junction on High Vista Loop (blue trail markers). It will take you down a grassy hill and intersects with Jack’s Way at the bottom. Turn left at the bottom of the hill to continue on the course as normal.

Happy to answer questions if you have them!

Thank you, Julie! I’ve added this to the Lime Hollow course page.

Welp, I didn’t see this before I ran the course yesterday on my way back from an appointment in Cortland.

I can confirm that Jack’s Way is closed. I can also confirm that I did not get shot and would not encourage anyone to go under the tape. :grimacing:
