Marathon world-record holder Kelvin Kiptum dies in a car crash

This is just awful—Kelvin Kiptum has died in a car crash, along with his coach. He ran 2:00:35 at Chicago last year to set a new world record in the marathon and be the first person to run under 2:01. So sad, and given what he’d done in only three marathons so far, he seemed on track for an illustrious career.
