Hey folks!
Skunk Cabbage is just a few days away, and I need a few more course marshals and food prep volunteers, plus a couple of other people throughout the other jobs.
If you can help out, I’d really appreciate it. FLRC can only put on races, workouts, and group runs with the help of lots of volunteers, and Skunk Cabbage is one of our most volunteer-intensive races.
Please sign up in Helper Helper as soon as you can, so I don’t have to spend a lot of time in the last few days trying to move people around to the most important spots.
If you’ve already signed up to volunteer at a spot that still has openings, recruit a friend or family member to help you! It’s way more fun to volunteer with others.
All volunteers can get one of this year’s custom Skunkhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy shirts for free on race day at check-in (or, if necessary, in a subsequent order). We’ll also have coffee and donuts at check-in at Barton and hand warmers for those working outside. And everyone gets to enjoy a spring morning with friends and the sense of accomplishment from putting on one of Ithaca’s largest races!
