Does anyone know if it’s okay to park at the South Hill Elementary School near the rec trailhead outside of school hours? I do know there is parking elsewhere, so I’m specifically interested in this area.

I just parked there on Saturday AM for a rec trail run. Offhand I think it is fine on weekends as long as you don’t use the handicap spaces. Perhaps someone else could chime in about weekday non-school usage.
Outside of school hours, I think you are good to park in the two marked spaces in the traffic circle and any of the side spaces that are not reserved for staff who could be wanting to use their spots (though those spots would probably not be an issue either). My kids both go to South Hill but I don’t have any definitive inside knowledge about the parking!
