PGXC #3 2024: FLRC roster; volunteer opportunity for family

@pgxc-flrc Here is a look at our team roster for the upcoming Taughannock race on 10/20. If you want to be added to or need to be removed, please get in touch.

If you’ll be bringing family who would enjoy participating in a non-running capacity, please have them sign up to volunteer at the race. (Because this is our home meet, we provide volunteers for tasks like course marshaling.)

Stay tuned for a High Noon (men’s) roster from Adam and for additional logistical information.

See you Sunday! —Tonya

We have a few roster changes, with Jura Warren joining our Masters team (welcome Jura!) and Laura Taylor sitting this one out on the Vets team. Laura is between two half-marathon races and wants to rest up for her next one.

Hi Tonya,

Any chance I can join? If so, how should I sign up?

Kris

@krishainessharp Yes, you can join. The signup page is here: https://runsignup.com/Race/Register/?raceId=24038&eventId=786021. Kris, when you register, don’t worry about which FLRC team you put yourself on, just get yourself onto some FLRC team. I have a note to be sure to look for you and put you on the right team, so you will be all set.

If someone else is reading this and wants to sign up, after you sign up, please be sure to let me know so I can optimize our team organization.

Hi all, we have two roster additions - Yvette de Boer in the Super Vets and Kris Haines-Sharp in the Vets. Adam and I are still putting together our Forum post about race day logistics - that should be up later today.

For those viewing the roster on the Forum, it is now up-to-date with what I know about who is coming tomorrow. We have two U19 teams, two masters teams, and two Super Vet teams. We also have several new faces and several runners who don’t get out to a PGXC all that often, so please look around and be sure to introduce yourselves and help each other out - sorry no name tags tomorrow!

Hi Tonya,
Is it too late to join the race tomorrow? I wasn’t feeling well the past few days, so I hesitated to register until now. However, I’m feeling better and ready to run. I completely understand if it’s too late. Also, I wasn’t sure how to go about registering.

Apologies for cluttering the forum with this; I couldn’t find a way to message you directly.

I registered but could not enter myself into an FLRC group, though I entered it as a club. Probably too last moment…

@nori - I’m glad you got yourself registered. I see you on the backend of the race system. Adam normally handles the men’s roster, but since he is out mowing our meadow, I put you on the High Noon masters team. You are all set for tomorrow unless you have a question - feel free to ask here.

I will be running tomorrow!!! It may even be a walk run but I’m ready to try
