Hey folks!
Skunk Cabbage is a week away, and I need a few more course marshals, plus a few other people for other jobs.
If you can help out, I’d really appreciate it. FLRC can only put on races, workouts, and group runs with the help of lots of volunteers, and Skunk Cabbage is one of our most volunteer-intensive races.
Please sign up in Helper Helper as soon as you can, so I don’t have to spend a lot of time in the last few days recruiting in person and moving people around to the most important spots.
If you’ve already signed up to volunteer at a spot that still has openings, ask a friend or family member to help you! It’s way more fun to volunteer with others. And if you’re running, perhaps a friend or family member would be up for cheering for you while course marshaling?
All volunteers can get one of this year’s custom Skunktimus Prime shirts for free at check-in on race day. We’ll also have coffee and donuts at check-in at Barton and hand warmers for those working outside. And everyone gets to enjoy a spring morning with friends and the sense of accomplishment from putting on one of Ithaca’s largest races!
