Thanks to @aaron.proujansky1 for passing along this warning from the Tompkins County Sheriff about a string of thefts from cars parked at trailheads. It might seem like no one is around, but it’s worth leaving valuables at home, hiding interesting things in the car, locking the car, and not leaving the key on a tire (does anyone still do that?) or in the car.
