Two weeks ago I ran @tpdady’s 100k “fat ass” on a big trail loop around Cortland County, starting and ending in Morgan Hill State Forest. (In ultrarunning a “fat ass” is essentially a long, minimally supported group run or low-key race.) Pete said he wants to make it into an official race starting in 2021.
The run served as a nice replacement for the cancelled Twisted Branch 100k. I wrote about the experience on my blog, which can also serve as a preview for anyone who runs it next year. I hope some of you enjoy reading and laugh at the absurdities that are inevitable in trail and ultrarunning!
