Bib numbers are essential for race timing—those chips have to go somewhere—but they don’t have to be boring. We have snazzy Skunktimus Prime bibs for the 2026 Skunk Cabbage Classic 10K and Half Marathon, and everyone who registers by Friday, March 13, will get their first name on their bib below the number, just like elites in major races. The back of the bib even has a handy copy of FLRC’s 2026 race calendar.
Can’t run this year or have friends or family who want to watch? Volunteer at the race and get a free Skunktimus Prime T-shirt! Skunk Cabbage is one of the two most important races (with Finger Lakes 50s) for FLRC’s financial health, and it’s possible only with the help of about 100 volunteers. We particularly need course marshals to keep runners safe and on course, and the Varna Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a course marshal training session for us this Saturday, March 14, at 10 AM. Contact me if you’d like to attend.
Whether you sign up to race or register to volunteer, we look forward to seeing you on race morning!
