Register now for FLRC's summer races!

Welcome to July, runners! We have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to racing this summer, and now’s the time to sign up for our upcoming races:

  • Forest Frolic on July 8: It’s classic trail racing on our 7K and 15K courses in Kennedy State Forest in Virgil. Hills, streams, mud, and more, all in a glorious wooded setting. Once you’re registered, sign up to drive or ride in a carpool to save gas, fight climate change, make our races more inclusive. If you’re spectating or can’t run, please volunteer!

  • Fillmore 5K on July 15: Savor the small-town atmosphere in this fast and flat 5K in downtown Moravia. The 3.1-mile course meanders through the village and surrounding rural area. Again, sign up to drive or ride in a carpool.

  • Trackapalooza on July 22: Enjoy outdoor track and field at its best in this full-day extravaganza of racing, jumping, and throwing at Ithaca High School. All ages and abilities are welcome—youth, adults, and elites. Volunteers needed, and don’t miss our snazzy limited edition singlets.

  • Tortoise & Hare on July 29: Our closest trail race to Ithaca, this is a good introduction to both trail running and local trails, while Buttermilk Falls provides a spectacular backdrop. Adults run a roughly 6.5-mile course on beautiful, varied terrain, and there’s a free untimed 1-mile fun run for kids. Volunteer signup coming soon, but you can sign up to carpool.

  • Forge the Gorge on August 10: The lovely trails at Fillmore Glen State Park in Moravia provide challenging courses for our 3.5-mile and 7-mile courses in this evening race. Again, volunteer signup coming soon, but it’s never too early to say you can host a carpool.

  • FLRC Summer Picnic on August 24: Save the date for our Thursday evening picnic at Taughannock State Park, where we’ll be handing out FLRC Challenge awards and enjoying a catered dinner.

Thanks to our dedicated race directors for all their organizing efforts and to all the volunteers who make the races happen on the day!
