Register soon for early-bird pricing for the Skunk Cabbage 10K and Half Marathon

It’s time to plan next year’s goal races, and first up is the Skunk Cabbage Classic 10K and Half Marathon on April 6. Register soon to take advantage of discounted pricing in December!

We’re celebrating the race’s 42nd running with a nod to Douglas Adams’s classic science fiction novel The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, where 42 is “the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.” Featuring our adventurous mascot hitching a ride across the galaxy, this year’s race shirts and matching medals are sure to be popular.

The Skunk Cabbage Classic features finish line announcements, festivities in the warmth of Barton Hall, personalized bibs for those who register in time, free race photos, and post-race munchies. We’ll even help you train—join our Sunday Skunkday long runs on the Skunk courses every Sunday from February through the end of March.

Throughout December, you can register for the 10K for just $30 or the half marathon for $40, which is $5 off the regular rates that start on January 1 and rise in March. The long-sleeve tech fabric T-shirt costs $20 during registration and is available in fitted and straight styles; the fully sublimated fabric has the design woven in, so it won’t peel off or feel sticky.

FLRC members save an additional $5, plus get to run in Barton Hall over the winter, participate in our indoor track workouts and Sunday Skunkday training runs, and run the Winter Chill 5K series in January.

Love this design! hats off to whoever thought of it! :star_struck:

USA Racing’s artist did a fabulous job based on my art direction. Last year’s shirts required more back-and-forth, but this year they knocked it out of the park on the first try.
