@pgxc-flrc @pgxc-high-noon What a glorious fall day for PGXC #4—huge performances across the board from FLRC and High Noon! Thanks to turning out a record 75 local runners, our FLRC squads notched five team wins—everything other than Open—and High Noon stacked up enough scoring depth to give our combined teams 59 Club Cup points, moving us into a tie for second place with GVH. Full results are now available. We have some photos available now, and more are coming.
Although lots of people needed to get home after the award ceremony, a bunch of us continued the celebration with wood-fired pizza and other treats at Stone Bend Farm above Treman. Recommended if you haven’t been there before.
Team Places
From a team perspective, this was our strongest showing of the season, with FLRC taking home five of six wins. High Noon amassed two seconds and three thirds.
- FLRC U19: 1st, with impressive places from Riley White (1), Ryan Jacobsen (2), and Madigan White (6).
- FLRC Women’s Open: 3rd, led by Hailey Whetten (2), with scoring from Inger Aaberg (9), Adrienne Martin (12), Cecelia Madsen (13), and Meg Branine (14).
- FLRC Women’s Masters: 1st, paced by Chelsea Benson (1), Anne Riordan (2), and Lauren McKinzey (9). FLRC-B took fourth and FLRC-C took fifth, gaining us valuable points.
- FLRC Women’s Vets: 1st, with Julie Barclay (1), Sandra Randall (2), and Kim Jackson (4); FLRC-B took 3rd.
- FLRC Women’s Super Vets: 1st, a sweep from Lori Johnson (1), Sandy Gregorich (2), and Gill Haines‑Sharp (3).
- FLRC Women’s Ultra Vets: 1st, with Anne Shakespeare (1), Deb Bliss (2), and Ruth Sproul (3).
High Noon had competitive teams across all men’s divisions, even if we weren’t able to repeat our Open win from last race:
- High Noon Men’s Open: 2nd for High Noon‑A, scoring with Alex Evans (3), Nick McPherson (5), Lucas Betzoldt (8), Patrick Milano (13), and Christopher Petroff (18). High Noon‑B placed 7th.
- High Noon Men’s Masters: 3rd, thanks to places from Jay Hubisz (9), David Kania (11), Patrick Boyle (12), Steven Folsom (19), and Ethan Bodnaruk (23).
- High Noon Men’s Vets: 2nd for High Noon‑A with strong running from Kenny Makosch (3), Scott Dawson (4), Scotie Jacobs (7), Stephen Jesch (9), and Joey Randall (13). High Noon‑B placed 4th, and a different mix would have gotten us the win—live and learn!
- High Noon Men’s Super Vets: 3rd, thanks to Casey Carlstrom (4), visitor Chuck Shields (5), and Alan Lockett (9); a late no-show prevented us from having a High Noon-B team
- High Noon Men’s Ultra Vets: 3rd with good finishes from Charlie Fay (3), Joel Leff (9), and Jim Carman (12).
