@pgxc-flrc @pgxc-high-noon We had a significantly better showing at the second race of the 2025 PGXC series in terms of numbers of runners (40) and teams, individual and team awards, and Club Cup points. We outpointed Checkers this race, so while we’re still in fourth overall, we moved from 23 points behind third to 18 points down.
Our post-race lunch was at Brewery Ardennes in Geneva, which was just as glorious a setting as it was last year—another afternoon that couldn’t be beat.
Full results are available, with more individual podium finishes (chocolate!) and team wins from the FLRC Women’s Vets and FLRC Women’s Ultra Vets teams. Lauren Milano took race photos and hopes to have them uploaded soon; if you have any, please upload them!
Our Women’s Vets team win was essentially unopposed—our A team beat our B team, with Julie Barclay, Kim Jackson, and Sandy Gregorich taking 1-2-3 for the A team and Gill Haines-Sharp, Tonya Engst, and Janet Murphy taking 4-5-6 for second place. That gets us 10 Club Cup points in just one category.
The Women’s Ultra Vets team also ran unopposed, with Anne Shakespeare, Deb Bliss, and Ruth Sproul demonstrating how showing up is more than half the battle.
Special thanks to new-to-Ithaca Seth Hallem, who completed our High Noon Masters A Team and whose kids Kai Kwee-Hallem and Yan Kwee-Hallem completed our FLRC U19 team. We knew they were signed up for the race and had picked up their bibs, but had no idea who they were until later in the week. ![]()
