@pgxc-flrc @pgxc-high-noon We had a good outing at the first PGXC race of the year, with 31 runners making up the trek to Buffalo to field five FLRC teams and two High Noon teams. Afterward, a bunch of us stopped at Alethea’s Chocolates in Buffalo before heading back to Canandaigua for tasty crepes. Any excuse…
Full results are available, with a number of individual podium finishes and our Coed U19 team taking home a team win. Our other teams ran well but weren’t at full strength. Look for race photos from Lauren Milano and Erica Herman.
With Banyan Love and Ben Lambert off at college, we were a bit worried about fielding a full U19 team (max of five, three scoring). That turned out to be easily solved by the Hulsey family, who contributed two more runners. Kate Hulsey was the overall winner in 21:10, with Gretchen Hulsey second in 21:35 and Rahmon Daily fifth in 24:35. Filling out the five-person team and improving the odds we’ll have three at all five races were Charlotte Hulsey and Finley Hulsey. Overall, the team beat the Syracuse Track Club, 8 to 13.
