Results and photos from PGXC #4 at FLCC

@pgxc-flrc @pgxc-high-noon It was another glorious day for cross-country, with bright sun and perfect temperatures. We had another successful race, with 49 runners completing the hilly Finger Lakes Community College 8K course. After the race, a large group enjoyed an unseasonable outdoor lunch at Brewery Ardennes in Geneva to cap off a day of fun and friends.

Full results are available, with our usual individual podium finishes and team wins from the FLRC U19 team and the FLRC Women’s Vets team. Based on this race’s performance, we moved into second in the club cup standings, 1 point ahead of GVH and 28 points ahead of Checkers. We should have no problem taking third overall, and with some strong championship showings, we may be able to hold off GVH and place second after the Syracuse Track Club, which is far in the lead.

We once again have some race photos from Lauren Milano, edited by yours truly. Jon Lewis also has some finish-line photos, which I hope he can upload to the shared album.

In leading a sweep of the U19 division, Ryan Jacobsen had another strong showing, with a runaway first place in his division that was good for 36th overall, which would have put him fifth on our open team. Kate Hulsey was second, with newcomer Sam Miller third, just four seconds behind her. Gretchen Hulsey and Zach Miller were fourth and fifth.

Our other team win of the day came from the Women’s Vets team, which beat small Roadkill and Syracuse Track Club teams with 1-2-4 places from Julie Barclay, Kim Jackson, and Tonya Engst.
