@pgxc-flrc @pgxc-high-noon What a great day for a race and a fabulous showing from FLRC and High Noon! Our 42 runners combined for four team wins, and we placed a strong second in Club Cup points, moving from fourth to third and overtaking Checkers. Full results are now available, and there are a few more photos here.
A bunch of us went to Elephant and the Dove in Skaneateles for lunch afterward, which turned out to be thoroughly delicious Mexican food in a semi-private dining room.
Team Places
From a team perspective, this was one of our best races in some time. The High Noon men’s Open team won handily, beating Syracuse Track Club’s A team (they had five Open teams) 45 to 56, with Alexander Simpson (3), Nick McPherson (4), Chris Petroff (9), Seth Bywater (11), and Patrick Milano (16) scoring.
On the FLRC women’s side, we won the Vets, Super Vets, and Ultra Vets categories! We stuck with the winning formula for the Vets, with Julie Barclay (1), Kim Jackson (4), and Sandy Gregorich (5) once again combining for the win, just 3 points ahead of Syracuse Track Club and 12 ahead of GVH. The Super Vets swept, with the minimum 6 points from Lori Johnson (1), Gill Haines-Sharp (2), and Laura Helmerick (3). They beat three teams from GVH, STC, and Checkers. Finally, our Ultra Vets team of Anne Shakespeare (1), Deb Bliss (2), and Ruth Sproul (3) once again won unopposed.
