RSVP for the FLRC Annual Picnic on Thursday, September 18, at 6 PM at Treman State Park

Please join us for fun, food, and friends! FLRC will be hosting our Annual Picnic from 6–9 PM on Thursday, September 18, at the Treman State Park North Shelter (the first one you get to when driving in). It’s an opportunity for the club to show our appreciation for our awesome board, race directors, volunteers, and members.

You get to eat tasty food and socialize with your fellow runners (without getting all sweaty) while we share details about what the club is doing, what’s up with the board, check in on the Trail Circuit, present FLRC Challenge awards, and more. We’ll have club swag for sale along with a swap table where you can give away running-related stuff and pick up things brought by others. Bring the whole family—it’s a kid-friendly event. (And if you have lawn games for the kids, bring them!)

We need to get a head count by September 4 (and earlier is better!) so our caterer, Fittnell BBQ, can determine how much food to order. The picnic dinner is free, though there is a $9 NYS Parks parking fee—carpool to cut costs and combat climate change. We’ll also have beer and non-alcoholic beverages, along with dessert.

Please RSVP in Webscorer if you’re coming and how many people will be in your party. We can use setup and breakdown help, plus assistance with some other tasks—please sign up in Helper Helper.

Do we know if Fittnell is bringing any vegan options?

I know their broccoli and coleslaw are vegetarian, but let me check on vegan.

They always have in the past. In the last 10-ish years I’ve never been to their truck and not had options for stuff I’d eat. I think the broccoli dish normally has dairy in it though.
