Second call for FLRC’s January Jicker track meet at Barton Hall on January 11

It’s time to register for the January Jicker indoor track meet on Sunday, January 11 at 9 AM in Cornell’s warm, dry Barton Hall. All ages (seriously!) and abilities (really!) are welcome, and when you’re not running, you can enjoy watching some of the area’s best runners compete for spots on the FLRC Track Leaderboard.

Register Today!

Check the meet page for all the details, but here are the key bits:

  • Events: The January Jicker will feature the 5000m, 60m, 1 mile, 200m, and 4x200m relay. Field events will include the long jump and high jump. Compete in as many events as you like for the same fee.
  • New to track? If you’ve never run a track meet before or never run one of ours, check out our First-Timer’s FAQ for Track Meets.
  • Registration: Preregistration is required! Please follow the instructions on how to enter seed times correctly. Reply here or email me at ace@tidbits.com if you have questions. Also contact me if you need a new club or school team added to the menu.

See you at Barton Hall on Sunday!

Hi Adam,
No triple jump, correct? FYI Maddie will racewalk the 5k. Her time should be comparable to the slow runners.
Thanks!

No, we don’t have the triple as a formal event, but Brett Shelton, who’s managing the long jump, will probably be up for letting people do a triple if there’s time after all the long jumps are in. So just ask him early on so he knows there’s interest.

Thank you for putting on this event! I live in the Binghamton area but ended up joining FLRC in addition to our local group since it looks like you folks do a lot of great stuff and I like supporting my fellow runners and racewalkers (plus jumpers and throwers)

Hey, nice to have you in the club, and thanks for the kind words! If you’re looking for a possible FLRC running partner nearby, @kuwanna is from down that way too.
