Second (First?) Winter Chill of 2024 is in the books!

We did it, and we did it in true Winter Chill style! There were blinding snow squalls, a rerouted finish line to avoid ice, gusty winds, about 5 minutes of sun, a brightly flagged finish chute, and hot chocolate. Thank you, everyone, racers, timers, and volunteers, for braving the cold and snow. (And no worries if caution kept you off the roads—the squalls came on quickly and unexpectedly!) A special shout out to this year’s first Chillers and maybe even a few first 5k’ers!

Check out the results. We also have a few photos from the race—if you took any (we saw you, Dina!), please share them in our community-driven photo album.

Remember to bring your bib back next week when we will chill out again on Saturday, January 20. We’ll once again be scanning your bib QR code as part of our new timing system aimed at more accurate results and less-frozen volunteers, so thanks for standing still for a moment in the chute after you finish to get scanned. There will be more mini muffins, scones, and hot chocolate. See you soon, Chillers! -Sarah Drumheller
