Strides of March indoor track meet coming up Sunday, March 8

It’s our final track meet of the indoor season! Sign up today for the Strides of March and join us at 9 AM on Sunday, March 8, at Cornell’s Barton Hall. All ages (seriously!) and abilities (really!) are welcome, and when you’re not running, you can enjoy watching some of the area’s best runners compete. We also need a few more volunteers!

Register Volunteer

Note that March 8 is Daylight Saving Time, so be sure your clocks spring forward appropriately. Because of losing an hour, we’re closing registration Saturday at 5 PM so we have time to seed the meet and get some sleep. There is no day-of-meet registration.

At the request of competitive runners who need additional race experience and times for collegiate programs, we’ve added the 400m as a spotlight event. To keep the meet to a manageable length, the 400m is limited to runners with recent times under 60 seconds for men and 70 seconds for women. It should provide some exciting races!

Check the meet page for all the details, but here are the key bits:

  • Events: The Strides of March will feature the 3000m, 400m, 60m, 1 mile, 200m, and 4x200m relay. Field events will include the long jump and high jump. Compete in as many events as you like for the same fee.
  • New to track? If you’ve never run a track meet before or never run one of ours, check out our First-Timer’s FAQ for Track Meets.
  • Registration: Preregistration is required! Please follow the instructions on how to enter seed times correctly. Reply here or email me at ace@tidbits.com if you have questions. Also contact me if you need a new club or school team added to the menu.

See you at Barton Hall this weekend!
