We regret to announce that we are canceling Super Frosty Loomis this year due to lack of sufficient snow.
We’ve been closely monitoring the snow conditions, but unfortunately, today’s warm weather left too many bare spots and thin sections, plus slush that will create large ice patches as it freezes tomorrow. Our goal is always to present a fun and welcoming race experience, but with this last week of unseasonably warm weather, that’s just not possible, either as a snowshoe or trail race.
Due to the continued unpredictability of snow, we will not be rescheduling the race to a later date. Everyone currently registered will receive a refund.
We hope Loomis will be back next year, and if Hammond Hill’s trails get sufficient snow later this winter, we’ll post some group snowshoe runs.
