The 2025 Tortoise & Hare Trail Race is next Sunday, June 29! Sign up now or volunteer to help

You still have a few days to sign up for the Tortoise & Hare Trail Race on Sunday, June 29!

Please register soon so our Food Team can get an appropriate amount of food. Registering by at least the evening of Friday, June 27 makes bib assignment easier.

The course runs approximately 6.5 miles up, around, and down the beautiful Buttermilk Falls State Park. And don’t miss the free 1-mile fun run for kids of all ages, which runs around the Larch Meadow Trail loop at the start. It’s non-competitive and won’t be timed.

We encourage carpooling when possible! Remember that there’s a $10 entrance fee for parking at the park, though there’s additional parking on Route 13 east of the park.

For those not running, please consider volunteering—there are still available opportunities. It’s a great way to spend some time outdoors with friends while cheering and supporting all the runners.

The race is part of the 2025 FLRC Trail Circuit. New: Order your FLRC Trail Circuit Tees!

Show your love for the Finger Lakes trails with our new heather grey Patagonia shirts, designed to celebrate the region’s iconic races. Order yours here and pick up at your next FLRC trail race.
