FLRC’s Twilight 5K race is almost here! Join us on June 9 at Treman Marina for a fast, flat evening race along the shores of Cayuga Lake. Registration is currently $35, but the price rises to $45 on June 8, so register today to save!
Whether you’re aiming for your first-ever 5K, chasing a new personal best, or adding to your collection of FLRC Challenge 5K efforts, the Twilight 5K is a great choice. The course features smooth trails, few road crossings, chip timing, and plenty of lakeside scenery. We’ll be welcoming runners and walkers of all ages and abilities for a fun summer evening on the waterfront.
We need a few more volunteers!
If you’re not running, would you consider helping out? We’ll be welcoming 400+ runners, and volunteers are essential to making the event a success! Volunteering is a great way to meet people, give back to the running community, and stay connected with the club.
To sign up, click the Volunteer to Help button on the race page or check the opportunities in Helper Helper. At the moment, we’re especially looking for course marshals, water station volunteers, and race-day setup crew.
Thank you for helping us put on a great event!
Supporting Danish Hussain Yar and Free to Run
This year, we’re excited to support Cornell sophomore Danish Hussain Yar’s fundraising efforts for Free to Run, which empowers girls and young women in conflict-affected regions through running. Growing up in Afghanistan, she saw firsthand how war, gender apartheid, and systemic barriers make it nearly impossible for women to run freely. If she reaches her goal, she’ll run the 2026 New York City Marathon as just the seventh Afghan woman ever.
Learn more about Danish’s story and support her fundraising efforts.
