Trackapalooza track-and-field extravaganza coming on Saturday, July 19!

It’s time to think about your events for Trackapalooza, FLRC’s summer track invitational, at Groton High School on July 19, beginning at 9 AM. We’re anticipating lots of great races and looking forward to seeing new entries at the top of the FLRC Track leaderboard—claim your place in local track history!

This Saturday morning track meet will feature six individual running events, ranging from the 100m to the 5000m, a 4x200m relay, pole vault, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, and discus. For experienced hurdlers, we’re adding the 100m hurdles for women and the 110m hurdles for men. You can compete in as many events as you like for one low registration fee. If you’re not running or want to do only an event or two, please join our highly amiable volunteer crew. To volunteer, sign up in Helper Helper.

We will be using hand timing this year so we can more easily include everyone. Register today to help us put on a well-organized, efficient event. All ages and abilities welcome!

During registration, you can order a Trackapalooza singlet in limited sizes for $10. They will be available for pickup at the meet. Any remaining singlets will be for sale at the meet, where we’ll also have other FLRC race swag.

Special thanks to the SOAR Running Club for coordinating the jumps, the Groton Project Track Club for managing the throws, and the Tompkins County Pole Vault Club for hosting the pole vault!
