Want to be competitive in the age of race cancellations? Try the Virtual Grand Prix Race Series

Hi All,

I received an email from the Community Manager at Tracksmith about a fun virtual race series and thought you might find it of interest:

My friend is organizing a virtual race series called the Run Free Grand Prix. It looks really cool and a good way to stay engaged with training.

I wanted to share the details here! I think it could be a pretty huge, for fun competition if it picks up steam.

Basically there are 4 races spread a few weeks apart and you score a team of 5 just like XC or the road racing grand prix.

I think we need this right now! Please feel free to organize a team and/or forward this along to other influential runners in your community.

Stay safe out there - hope to see you sooner than later.

Details and rules found here.

Wow, love their use of Google Sheets for the textual instructions.

So it’s a 10K, 1 mile, 5K, and half marathon, with teams of 3-5 runners. Interesting. Maybe @apacheck, @Sam_Lagasse, @RichHeffron, and @Mikhail_Kern can repurpose their Seneca 7 team for this virtual series.
