It’s a lovely winter morning, runners, but after significant consultation, race director Sarah Drumheller and I decided that the road conditions (and forecast for the next three hours) are too hazardous to encourage nearly 200 people to drive into Ithaca from all around the county. So we’re cancelling this week’s Winter Chill 5K. We’ll try again next Sunday, January 14 with Winter Chill #2. Sorry if this is disappointing, but runner safety is paramount.
But don’t let the lack of a little Winter Chill keep you inside! Strap on some microspikes, snowshoes, or skis and enjoy the first real snowfall of the season.
