There’s no problem with changing your username to something that makes more sense than what we had to import.
Navigate to the Change Username page in your account preferences and type your new name there. Please don’t change it repeatedly, since doing so will break previous mentions of you.
Remember that your username is what people will type to notify you of their posts, so you want it to be something appropriate.
